28 Weeks

So, here we are another four weeks later, and another four weeks bigger!! I am currently about 6 1/2 months along, so I am in the third and final trimester.  It has kind of been a busy month, so here we go.

I was finally able to get to Greeley to get maternity clothes, so now I don't feel like a stuffed sausage in all of my clothes!!  This is one of my new maternity tops, not too glamorous, but it sure is comfy and cool.  While in Greeley, Janel and Jyl took Dawn and I garage saling and I was able to get some stuff for the baby.  I found a few neutral clothes, a pack-n-play, a Boppy pillow, some bottles, and a bouncy gym.  It's kind of exciting to just be getting stuff for the baby, who will be here using all of it before I know it!!

As you can see, I have grown a little bit since last time, even though it doesn't feel like it.  Matt and I were just saying today how it doesn't seem like I'm big enough to be 6 months pregnant, but we just attributed it to me having more vertical living space for the baby.

Of course I had to put on a tank top so everyone can see just how bit my stomach actually is (the pink is for you mom!!).

I also had a fun time at my doctor's appointment this month as I had to take the gestational diabetes test.  I will admit that it wasn't as bad as I had been anticipating, but it wasn't all that much fun either.  Thankfully I do not have gestational diabetes, so it's all good.  I was telling Matt that I had better not have gestational diabetes because all that  I eat is sugar, so I would have been in trouble.

My doctor also informed me that I will now be having appointments every two weeks now for the next 8 weeks, and then it's every week after that.  To me, that means that the baby is getting close!!  Matt and I are also signed up to start Prenatal Education classes in July, so things are starting to pick up and soon we will be having a baby.  I  think that we are both anxious and nervous, but really excited!!

Week 24

So I promised Kiane a few days ago that I would update my blog with new belly pictures (sorry Kiane, I lied), but I finally got around to it, so here they are!!

This one is  just me in one of my work shirts, in which you can definately see a nice sized gap.

This one is for all of you that enjoy seeing every single little bump.  I guess I could say that this month has been pretty uneventful, just lots of movement and kicking and discomfort.  Hopefully next month's post will be a little more exciting for you guys, but for now that's all she wrote!!

Don't forget to vote for what you think the sex of the baby is.  Matt already voted and I'm just confused, so I will not be voting, but feel free to voice your opinion!!

Baby Bump

So, I promised you that I would post some pictures of my little baby bump as soon as I could, and I was finally able to get some taken and loaded for your viewing pleasure.  This is my belly at 20 weeks, which is about 4 1/2 months.  So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy my fatness!!

I'm still able to get into most of my shirts, but my bottoms are getting pretty limited.  This is what I wore to school today, and you can kinda see a bump hiding under the belt.

Just in case you couldn't see the belly with my other shirt on, I decided to take some in just my tank so that you could definitely see the belly.

From here on out, I'm going to try to update with the belly pictures about once a month, so be checking back soon to see me getting fatter!!

Half-way Done!!

This week I hit the 20 week mark, which means that we are half-way to meeting our new family member!!  I also had an untrasound at my appointment this week, so I have some pictures to post as well!!

This is a profile picture of the baby, and if you look closely you can see that it's mouth is wide open for some reason.

This is a picture of the baby's hand.  It's weird to think that this is the same hand that Matt and I can feel pushing on my stomach already.

This last picture I thought was the funniest.  The ultrasound technician was looking at the baby's feet and made the comment that they looked a little big.  She measured them using her computer and they measure about 3 centimeters, which is about 1.2 inches.  I don't know how big they are supposed to be at this age, but it's something fun to tell people!!

I have been showing for a little over a month now, and I finally look pregnant from most angles.  As soon as I have time, I will try to get some belly pictures on here, so stay tuned!!

Surprise!!!

Well all, I guess it's finally happened, Matt and I are starting our own little family! I took the first test the morning of January 5th before going to school, and the second one when I got home from school (just to make sure).

After I took the second test, I gave Matt a big gift box with a box of Eggo's and a jar of Prego and let him figure the message out himself (the message being that our 'Eggo is Prego', thank you very much Juno). It took him a few seconds, but he finally said, "What? You're pregnant?"

It's been pretty surreal for the past week realizing that we are going to be parents in just a matter of months and that our lives are going to be drastically changing. I think that we are both more nervous than anything at the moment, but we are both very excited as well. Our first doctor appointment is on February 3rd, so we'll find out when the due date and everything then. According to the wonderful internet, however, I think my due date will be somewhere around September 17th.

Our next challenge is coming up with exciting and surprising ways of informing our families, so check for my next post to see how we did it!!
